SUMMER TIME

Beautiful flowers in bloom and the Sun is giving  my home town the three digits . Cold water and busy hands makes for a comfortable day.  Have watched some good movies on Netflix, never had time when I worked, so retirement has some good features ( double play on words). Autumn Breeze

Autumn was a breeze and a blur for me personally.  I bought a new home and after way too much packing , I moved to my new home the end of September.   My blogs and Etsy shops have been sorely neglected.   I am still selling my Patterns and Kits at The Wool Lady in Temecula.   I am hours away from the delightful shop but the post office is my new friend.   Hope to have New patterns, samples kits etc... in January.  Feeling very grateful.    Blessings,  Brook

A Bump In The Road

I believe this photo was on Pinterest, I feel this way, just befuddled.  Although, We do not have snow, it is windy with cold evenings.  You ask, befuddled?  What happened to my wanting to post weekly?  The want is still there, BUT, I was stopped at a stop sign waiting to make a right turn onto a busy street.  When I was hit from the rear by a truck.  I drive a very tiny car.  It hurt me and the car , at my age it was more fear then damage.  Could be a long story, but just say It was a hit and run.  I spent hours at the hospital and will hurt for some time.  Thats my story and I am sticking to it.   The officer was a lady and she was very nice and helpful.  I got some identification on the other driver, hopefully, she will be found.  My birthday is in two weeks and I am so LUCKY that yesterday I had to take my written driving test, blessed, I passed it and it was done on a computer, that was a surprise.  What happened to the old written test?   SO posting was delayed by the bump in the road.  Have a wonderful and safe week.  Blessings,  Brook

One Week in Autumn

I did it, only one week since my last post.  This is a picture of my pattern, One Night In Autumn.  The designs are on bowl fillers or pincushions or small decor pillows.  There are five designs.  Wool on wool and fun to make, the sample and pattern is in a Quilt Shop in Palmdale, CA.  The Shop is new and a dear friend is the owner.  " The Stitchin Studio" is very nice and different then the shops of late.

Where does Time Go

Time certainly does fly by. I am so disappointed , it has been since July that I last posted.   I have been busy designing patterns . My patterns are in " The Wool Lady" a shop in Temecula California.  My dear friend has opened a quilt shop in Palmdale, California and I have been designing for her shop too.

The new quilt shop is "The Stitchin Studio", owner is Lolita Newman.  Lola is on Facebook, also blogspot is " stitching by the river" and more sites, but I am  not very computer savvy so I can not do the click and send you there from here.  Now you know a little more about me . Both shops require samples and  and I make kits in little cloth bags. It is very time consuming. My plan promise to me for the future is to take better care of my blogs and to put patterns and handmades in my Etsy shops. They are so neglected. I  wonder if I can keep my word, I certainly will try.  Keep in touch, stop by for a visit, more words to come.  Blessings,  Brook

Victorian Bird Stitchery

This was a pleasure to stitch.  The cotton fabric is victorian style flowers and I outlined the stitchery with rickrack to frame the work and a couple of buttons at the bottom of the frame.  It is not my design,and I truly want to give credit to the designer, but it seems I have given it away.  I made it at the end of Summer.  Have a wonderful California weekend.   Blessings,  Brook
