October Gathering

October is a time of wondrous gatherings. This past weekend, I watched the clouds cluster together and brought forth a long overdue rain. The leaves flutter to the ground awaiting their gathering. The trees looking forward to a sleeping winter. Although, I live in the city, I know God's creatures are gathering together for their winter solace. I, also prepare for my winter,thats ahead, kitchen staples for baking, yummy recipes, knitting needles, movies that pleasure the mind , music to soothe the body. In my home the most important, books, more books, and gathering quilts to warm and make cozy the days ahead. As I dream of special gifts to make for family and friends, I am swept away with fond memories of the past Christmases. It brings a smile to my face, but most often tears just flow, and they too gather on my cheeks. This October, I find me designing and collecting supplies for projects to make for my web stores.Of which, I am new to the web. The art world a very long time, but the technology of the computer looms fearfully in the dawn. I am slowly learning, what button??? to get my work on the web. It brings a gathering of what, when, how, wonder, and mistakes. Momentum is slow, gathering to the foreground, accomplishments, it works, the picture is in focus, the print works. Oh joy, after the accumulation of hours, at the days end, Nightfall shows the gathering of stars above. blessings brook
